Printing

Putting your document on paper

Depending on how Microsoft Word has automatically set up the page size and scale of the Word document, you can usually print it on a single sheet of paper. At other times, the document may not get printed properly as if the printed page has the wrong orientation or the document is too large or small. So how do you tell Microsoft Word exactly how you want your document to be printed?

You have two main commands available to you for controlling how your document will look when printed. The first is Print Preview under the File menu command. Use this command to see how the document will actually look on paper before you commit yourself to the print job.

The second is Page Setup under the File menu command. Use this command to specify the paper size, and the scale of the document to be printed onto the paper, and other special features.
