Insights into grander problems

Beyond the individual and the environment

Now comes the grander scheme of the Universe and life itself. Where are we going? Why must we do the things we do? And what happens to us when we die?

Below gives a very broad and quick overview of some essential patterns that R-brain people, who have made it their life's work to understand grander patterns of the Universe, seem to have acquired. None of it can be proven in a L-brain way. For L-brain people it is a matter of belief and having faith. For everyone else, it just makes sense, and the grander patterns seem to be supporting the possibilities. Whether it is actually true is something we each have to experience and find out. Hopefully by recording this knowledge, future generations can build on this and show greater insights over time.

In the meantime, let us have a brief taste of the grander patterns and the solutions that seem to be emerging from them.

  1. The issue of death
People tend to be afraid of doing the right things and solving problems because of the risk of dying. This may be under the hands of the authorities that will do everything in its powers to maintain the status quo and give the authorities the power and wealth they want. But if it is clear the approach is not right or balanced, why follow what the authorities say, or be worried about death. It is not the end when we die, not like many L-brain types that rely on their eyes and if they cannot see beyond death, they are forced to conclude that nothing happens. The R-brain side tells of or a grander and hidden cyclic pattern.

Still worried about dying? Don't be. We all have to go through the experience. It is just another passing phase in our lives before we move on to start another great adventure.

Still worried about death? If you are not facing a situation of immediate death, well, there are things you can do now to prolong your life before we get through this moment we all have to experience. For example, stop smoking and drinking or consuming unhealthy substances. Eat healthy foods. Exercise a little more than you do. Do something that makes you happy but is healthy. Find someone to share in your positive experiences and will work towards achieving your goals. Find people who have similar or the same goals as yours. Develop relationships so that you don't have to think about the inevitable or the initial difficulties in starting to exercise and be healthy. It is not easy. Everyone knows this. Yet love from others can help you to cope and get through life. And when death does comes, it will be much easier for you to pass through. It may seem like passing through the eye of a needle, but in fact it is easier than we think and we don't have to do anything. The Universe somehow achieves this for us. Not sure? Then learn a religion and understand the grander scheme of life and the universe as the more genuine R-brain leaders see it. Understand there is a cycle of life and death taking place as we speak. Start to realise death is not the end as some L-brain people make it out to be. See it as an opportunity to start a new adventure, a new life. And if that life is to be filled with love and hope, show love and hope in your current life.

  2. The thing we should all be doing today
On this idea of a likely return to a new life, what will you do to help the poor and destitute right now? What problems can you solve now that will make this world a better place? Because who knows the person you may become in your next life — will you be poor? Among the things you can do to help the poor is avoid buying things you want. Unless it helps to achieve your life goal (and only if there are no alternatives), choose the things you need and there will always be enough for everyone. If you earn extra money, invite a poor family into your house and feed them, help them by educating their children, show that you are always available to help them in times of great need. Show there is no such thing as poverty. It's all in the mind. Rich people can still be poor because they are alone or don't feel loved by other people. But poor families filled with love and hope are rich people. Everything else are physical things we don't always need. The material side of things is not what makes us rich. It is our knowledge, and our love for each other that makes us rich.

  3. There is more to this Universe than meets the eye
Learn to realise there is something mysterious in this Universe for which all things are recycled, including life itself. How your own life is recycled is the greatest mystery of all. Different religions have different names and ideas of what happens. All you need to remember is that there is something beyond death.

Trust in this Universe. The Universe has its own reason for existing and therefore a way for you to come back.

If it helps you, look into the issue of God more closely from a religious point-of-view. Or be a scientist and find what you think may be the answer. But remember, no matter how hard you work, there will always be a mystery about this Universe. In fact, both the religious and scientific minds will have something in common in the end when people travel far enough in their respective disciplines: there is a great mystery and so much to learn about this Universe. Neither approach will give the final answer. We have an infinite time to find out why and how.
